About Concert Orchestra

Concert Orchestra is Southeastern Minnesota’s premier student instrumental ensemble for advanced student musicians who play a string, woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument. Participants will be challenged to perform original classical and contemporary works for full orchestra, with a focus on ensemble playing skills and musical style.  Learn more.

 

Concert Orchestra meets Saturday mornings from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Century High School in Rochester. 

Please remember:

• No metronome
• No headphones/earphones/etc
• No need to announce your name or what you're playing. Instead, please include your name and what you're playing in the video title and/or description.

Please record and submit the following:

Solo

Please record one solo between 1-2 minutes that best demonstrates your abilities. Solos need not be memorized.

Choose your selection with guidance from your private teacher or orchestra/band director. If you need a suggestion on which solo to prepare, please contact us at info@semyo.org!
