Chamber Strings offers an intermediate string orchestra experience for developing musicians who play the violin, viola, cello, or bass. Students will further develop their ensemble playing techniques, preparing them for participation in the advanced SEMYO orchestras. Participants may also have limited opportunities to perform alongside SEMYO woodwind, brass, and percussion students. Concert Orchestra is Southeastern Minnesota’s premier student instrumental ensemble for advanced student musicians who play a string, woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument. Prelude Winds is an introductory ensemble for young woodwind, brass, or percussion musicians. Participants will learn basic ensemble techniques to prepare for high school band. Participants may also have limited opportunities to perform with SEMYO string students. Philharmonic Orchestra offers a full orchestra experience for skilled students of all ages who play string, woodwind*, brass, or percussion instruments.
